Explore Old Town Alexandria

Old Town Alexandria is one of the most historic and walkable districts in the D.C. area — a mile of King Street lined with more than 200 independent shops and restaurants, a scenic waterfront on the Potomac River, and the Torpedo Factory Art Center, a former WWII munitions plant now home to more than 80 working artist studios. Seasonal water taxis connect the waterfront to Washington, D.C. and National Harbor, and George Washington's Mount Vernon estate is a short drive south — making it easy to turn the forum into a fuller trip.
